Our History

Mason’s Place Too was established in 2019 by TrenaMcCoy who was its first CEO. Mrs. McCoy was a parent of three children. Her youngest children, twin boys, were diagnosed with Autism at the tender age of 3. She understood first hand what was needed to support children that have been diagnosed with autism and the type of educational environment they would need in order to independent and successful.

The original Mason’s Place Too building is located in Fairview Heights, Illinois. The school is equipped to services students in an academic day school and provide additional resources and classes for students with autism. MPT services children in the day school program from the age of 3 to 12, but offers resources, therapies and social skills classes to students ages 3 to 18.

In 2015, the founding team, of Mason’s Place Too, started planning an educational program that would meet the needs of children with special educational needs and stand as an alternative placement to the traditional school. The sole purpose of the team was to provide a safe and structured environment that would allow children on the autistic spectrum to call their own.
